FAQ
Common questions about the booking process, pickup, and driving in Crete. If you need more detail, the contact page has our direct line.
How does the booking process work?
You search dates and locations, compare options, then reserve. An advance payment confirms the booking. A few days before pickup, you receive the voucher by email with the rental company's contact details and the exact pickup address.
What do I need at the pickup desk?
A valid driving licence held for the required period, a passport or ID, a credit card in the main driver's name for any authorisation, and the printed or digital voucher. Some partners accept debit cards; the voucher will specify.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Amendments depend on the rate terms shown at booking. Many bookings allow free cancellation up to a certain number of hours before pickup. Contact us by email or phone; we'll check eligibility and process the change with the partner company.
What are the age and licence requirements?
Minimum age is usually twenty-one, with at least one year's licence history. Larger groups and premium models may require the driver to be twenty-three or older and hold a licence for two or more years. The voucher will note any young-driver supplement.
Is the vehicle delivered with a full tank?
The standard policy is full-to-full: you collect with a full tank and return it full. The voucher shows the fuel type. EKO, Avin, and Shell stations are widespread along the north coast and in towns; rural areas have fewer options, so plan accordingly.
Can I drive to other Greek islands?
Most agreements restrict the vehicle to Crete. Taking it on a ferry to another island usually requires written permission from the rental company and may incur extra insurance charges. Mainland Greece is not permitted. Check the terms in your voucher before booking any ferry.
What if I pick up outside office hours?
Many partners offer out-of-hours collection at Heraklion airport and major locations. You arrange a meeting time when you receive the voucher. A representative meets you, completes the paperwork, and hands over the keys. Some locations charge a small after-hours fee; it will appear in the booking summary.
Who do I contact if there is a problem during the rental?
The voucher lists the partner company's emergency number for breakdowns or accidents. For billing or contract questions, reach us at +30 2810 334 712 or [email protected] during Mon-Sun 8:00 - 20:00 (EET). We coordinate with the partner to resolve the issue.
